In January and February 2023, Oberhof will once again become a mecca for winter sports fans from all over the world. This time, two World Championships will be held back-to-back: The 51st FIL Luge World Championships from 26-29 January and the BMW IBU Biathlon World Championships from 07-19 February. Just in time for the start of the double World Championships, it snowed heavily - creating a real winter sports feeling.

The Geopark will be present at both World Championships with a Geopark information counter. You will find us on 28th/29th January and from 7th to 9th February and on 18th/19th February in the exhibition tent of the Thüringer Tourismus GmbH in the Kurpark of Oberhof, right next to the Medal Plaza, where the award ceremonies will take place.
