It's no April Fool's joke: Exactly 10 years ago today, the Geo- and Pleasure Trail "From Beer to Bratwurst" was ceremoniously inaugurated with a culinary hike in bright sunshine. At each culinary stop between Arnstadt and Holzhausen, historical personalities awaited the numerous guests with special treats to offer. The Arnstadt Beer Caller handed out hop noodles with beer meat, two medieval peasant women served rutabaga soup wrapped in bread and, of course, the Bratwurst King served Thuringian bratwursts.
