It's done - the Geopark has successfully joined the GEOfood initiative!
The UNESCO Global Geopark Thuringia Inselsberg - Drei Gleichen is the 30th and first German geopark to officially join the UNESCO GEOfood initiative! As a partner, it can now recruit and evaluate e.g. agricultural cooperatives, restaurants and regional producers and award the GEOfood label as a sign of quality and sustainability for selected products. The positively rated producers and their products will not only be visible within the UNESCO Global Geopark Thüringen Inselsberg - Drei Gleichen, but also worldwide on the media channel of the GEOfood programme.
We are very pleased to be able to attract sustainably managed food producers of the region with this initiative and to support their products with the GEOfood label!
