The building of the Tourist and Nature Park Information Ruhla also houses an interactive exhibition focussing on the geology of the Ruhla area. Panels provide information about the geology, mining history and the associated way-of-life in the area. The exhibition also includes a discovery cave with modelled tunnel entrance as well as specimen preparations, reconstructions of the habitats of bats and fire salamander and a classical geological mile. A rock puzzle awaits those wanting to play and explore and is an opportunity for a hands-on rock and mineral experience.
