The Tourist- and Nature Park information in Ruhla comes up with an interactive exhibition dealing with the geology around Ruhla. In an artificial visitors cave you can go underground.

The new GeoMuseum at Schloss Ehrenstein Ohrdruf shows a new geological exhibition about the work of the Muschelkalk collector and local historian Studienrat Julius Böttcher and takes you into the exciting living world of the former Muschelkalk sea.
