It's getting hot! International blacksmith meeting in Steinbach-Hallenberg

Steinbach-Hallenberg

Under the theme "Tradition and modernity in blacksmithing - shaping iron and bringing bronze into shape", we would like to cordially invite you to the 7th International Blacksmiths' Meeting from 17 to 19 May 2024 at the Metall Craft Museum Steinbach-Hallenberg.

Hot iron is the metier of the Metall Craft Museum Steinbach-Hallenberg. Here, where the Recknagels and Nothnagels are at home, the raw iron has been processed into nails, corkscrews, pliers and other items in countless blacksmith and locksmith workshops for centuries.

Over 50 blacksmiths will be demonstrating their skills to a wide audience. The result will be everyday objects ranging from chains to nails, corkscrews, rods for fence elements, metal sculptures and metal jewellery elements. The varied programme will be rounded off with wheel hoops, horseshoeing and forging with a spring hammer as well as pewter and bronze casting.
