For the second time, the UNESCO Global Geopark Thuringia Inselsberg - Drei Gleichen, together with the Friedenstein Castle Foundation Gotha, organised a Thuringia-wide further training day of the ThILLM (Thuringian Institute for Teacher Training, Curriculum Development and Media) as part of the Bromacker research project. Under the guidance of Maria Schulz (curator of the exhibition, Friedenstein Castle Foundation Gotha), the geography and biology teachers got to know the Bromacker-lab with its diverse range of activities for pupils. With Dr. Tom Hübner (head of the geological-palaeontological collection of the Friedenstein Castle Foundation Gotha), the teachers were able to get a taste of research at the world-famous Bromacker early saurian site and gain an insight into the annual research excavations and drillings. Geopark geologist Stephan Brauner and Nancy Schröter (staff member of the Geopark Management Office) presented the dinosaur adventure trail, which brings the Bromacker early saurians to life. In addition, the teachers were given a comprehensive insight into the entire Geopark. The Stone Park at the Arenaris Spring in Bad Tabarz was presented as an example of a GeoInfo Point.
