This year, the Global Geopark Network is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The global network of geoparks was founded in 2004 to preserve the geological heritage of our planet, increase geoscientific education for all and promote sustainable regional development.

Celebrate with us! Among other things, there are three competitions in which you can enter the inhabitants of all UNESCO Global Geoparks worldwide and show their creative connection to their Geopark in the form of photos and stories. One competition is only for young people aged 12-18: ‘The 5 senses of your Geopark’.

The deadline for all three competitions is 31 December 2024.
