With shovel and wash pan on a "gold hunt" in Brotterode-Trusetal

At the "Hühn" visitor mine, you can now feel like the old gold prospectors in Alaska or California. A barbecue area and fire bowl invite you to enjoy a cosy get-together while "panning for gold".

The "Hühn" visitor mine presents its new attraction "Klondike at the Hühn". If you haven't planned anything for the weekend yet, you should plan a trip to the historic visitor mine and attend a gold panning course there. You will be equipped with a wash pan and other equipment, and under expert guidance you will learn how to pan for gold, just as the old Forty-niners did in California.
A barbecue area with a fireplace and seating is available for relaxation during and after the gold panning. However, barbecues and open fires are only possible when there is no danger of forest fire.

"Klondike at the Hühn"  ̶  an eventful excursion for young and old! The gold panning offer is especially good for children. The "treasures" found may be taken home.
