Roarr! - What a dinosaur festival!

Bruno vom Bromacker delights little children's hearts.

A Triceratops as a craft model. Which dino fan doesn't know these craft kits?

Attention excavation! Here the little ones could play at being dinosaur researchers. They're already wearing the right jackets!

"Roarr!" was the motto and it is also a fitting closing word for the dinosaur festival in Georgenthal. The little onomatopoeia stands tongue-in-cheek for the effortful, animalistic rumbling of the rather small primordial dinosaurs to which we dedicate this festival. However, "Roarr!" also describes the pure well-being and joy that children and parents obviously experienced and thus helped the festival to its meaning and success.

On the afternoon of 24 September, countless children bustled around the craft stalls and took advantage of the wide range of activities on offer that day.

The playground in the spa park became a painting street, an excavation site, a puppet stage and a handicraft workshop for young and old. The thematic children's festival owed much of its realisation to the commitment of the colleagues from the building yard, the main administration, the youth clubs and the library, who created numerous offers and supervised them individually. Katharina Krell was responsible for the successful organisation of the festival. Culinary and refreshing treats were provided by the Fire Brigade History and Heritage Friends Association from Georgenthal. We would like to thank all those who took part.

The fitting finale was a hike on the dinosaur trail with geologist Stephan Brauner from the UNESCO Global Geopark Inselsberg - Drei Gleichen. The scientist led numerous children and their parents on a geological voyage of discovery to the prehistoric continent of Pangaea by night.
