Winter is coming to an end and the lookout tower on the Großer Inselsberg opens its gates to guests again.

The new opening hours:

Thursday-Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Closed Monday-Wednesday.

Outside opening hours, group tours of our exhibition rooms (Geopark, Thuringian Forest Nature Park, Winter Sports Exhibition) are available by appointment.

You can get married every day of the week in the highest wedding room in Thuringia, 930 m above sea level. To do so, contact the Friedrichroda registry office at standesamt@friedrichroda.de.
