It was a successful day all around - the festive event in the morning was filled to capacity, the guests of honour proudly accepted their certificates and the State Secretary Dr Vogel (Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation) even presented the Geopark with three funding decisions. At noon, the rain cleared up punctually and the forecourt of the Kulturscheune filled up visibly. An estimated 500 visitors came to get information at the numerous stands, make buttons, design slate hearts, dig for gold or dig up dinosaur bones. The highlight of the afternoon was the balloon activity with the children from the Waidspatzen kindergarten in Mühlberg. We would like to thank the municipality of Drei Gleichen, the Mühlberg associations and local helpers and all Geopark communities and cooperation partners for this successful event.
